Eligibility: Applicants must participate or have participated in grades 9, 10 or 11 in at least one of the sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games or the National Federation of State High School Association. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a leader in school and their community and serve as a role model for underclassmen.
Eligibility: Applicants must be U18 junior surfers. Selection is based on financial need and the ability of the applicant to represent themselves as a positive role model both within the sport of surfing and at school.
How to apply: Applications are available online and must include the following: a recent report card, one letter of recommendation, a personal essay, a budget plan and four photos (family, school, surfing and headshot).
Eligibility: Applicants must be current ESA members. Transcripts, a recommendation letter, purpose letters and applications are required. The award is based on academics and citizenship, not athletic ability.
