A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Students must submit a 750-word essay on their involvement with an animal rescue group, rescue animal or animal volunteer group.

  • Arizona National Livestock Show Scholarship
    $40,000 total for all awards
    March 15
    Sponsor: Arizona National Livestock Show

    Eligibility: Applicants must be currently taking at least 12 hours and have completed at least 12 semester hours at a college or university and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

  • ASHA Youth Scholarships
    June 1
    Sponsor: American Saddlebred Horse Association Foundation

    Eligibility: This award is based on academic excellence, financial need, extracurricular activities, community service, involvement with American Saddlebred horses and personal references. An interview may be part of the selection process. Applicants should write an essay about school experiences, special interests, hobbies and American Saddlebred Horse Association activities. Scholarships are given only to high school seniors or recent graduates.

  • Federal Junior Duck Stamp Program and Scholarship Competition
    March 15
    Sponsor: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Headquarters

    Eligibility: Applicants must be in kindergarten to 12th grade and submit their artwork to their state or local department. Students must be U.S. citizens, resident aliens or nationals. The first place national winner has their art made into the next Federal Junior Duck Stamp and travels with a parent to the next First Day of Sale event for their stamp.

  • Junior Showmanship Scholarship Program
    March 1
    Sponsor: American Kennel Club

    Eligibility: Applicants must be under age 18 with an AKC registered purebred dog. Selection is based on involvement with AKC registered dogs, academic achievement and financial need. The scholarship program awards a total of $150,000 annually.
