    Eligibility: Applicants must be graduating seniors of New Castle High School who lack financial resources to further their education. Special consideration is given to the following students: those pursuing a beauty/cosmetology certificate, those studying piano or dance based on prior history with piano or dance, members of the First Baptist Church in New Castle, those who have worked part-time at a hospital or assisted living home while in high school, those students who were on the swim team all four years of high school or those with a family member who is serving or has served in the military.

  • Jodi Peplinski Educational Fund
    February 7
    Sponsor: Bay Area Community Foundation

    Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time student and residents of Bay County who have participated in cheerleading, choral music, musicals, stage productions, band or dance squad. They must also submit a completed FAFSA form, two recommendation letters, a current academic transcript and an essay about a positive experience they had while attending Garber High School.

  • M. Josephine O'Neil Arts Award

    Sponsor: Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Lambda State Organization

    Eligibility: Applicants must be Illinois residents and be sophomores at an accredited community college or current or upcoming juniors at an accredited four-year college or university. Students must demonstrate outstanding accomplishment in music, visual arts, dance, theater or the literary arts.

  • NYCDA 4-day National Summer Workshop Scholarship
    Sponsor: New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA)

    Eligibility: Applicants must submit an example of their work in the category in which they apply: theatre, dance, choreography, film or playwriting. Theatre and dance applicants require the sponsorship of a professional company or school, one nominee per institution. Awards are based on the artistic quality of the artist's work, potential for future excellence and activities. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and (except playwrights) must be nominated by a school department chair/dean or company artistic director. Awards must be completed in the United States.

  • Thelma A. Robinson Award in Ballet
    February 1
    Sponsor: National Federation of Music Clubs (Coral Gables, FL)

    Eligibility: Applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 19. There is no entry fee, but applicants must be members of the NFMC. The award is given during even-numbered years.

  • YoungArts Program
    Up to $10,000

    Sponsor: National YoungArts Foundation

    Eligibility: Applicants must be either high school sophomores, juniors, or seniors or 15 to 18 years old by December 1 of the year of application. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The disciplines included are cinematic arts, dance, jazz, music, photography, theater, visual arts, voice and writing. Those applying in the discipline of jazz music may be registered aliens. There is a nonrefundable fee.
