  • DTE Energy Foundation Sphinx Competition
    October 20
    Sponsor: Sphinx Organization

    Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. legal residents who are of junior high school, high school or college age. They must submit a videotape of a solo performance in order to be considered for the live semifinals competition. Selection is based on the quality of performance during the semifinal and final rounds of live competition.

  • Gainesville Symphony Orchestra Scholarship

    Eligibility: Applicants must be students of a Hillsdale County middle school or high school grades six through eleven at the time the application is filled. Students must be active members of an orchestra or be receiving private instruction on a string instrument. Applicants require an application form, a copy of a college acceptance letter, a Student Aid Report, a personal essay, two letters of recommendation and a high school transcript.

    Eligibility: Applicants must be instrumentalists, must not reach their 19th birthday by March 1 and be members of the National Federation of Music Clubs. This award rotates by region with the Northeastern and Southeastern regions in even years and Central and Western regions in odd years.
