American Legion Patriotic Scholarship Award Varies

Eligibility: Applicants must be dependents or descendants of American Legion members in good standing with a minimum GPA of 2.7, who are residents of Allegany or Garrett county and have graduated from a high school in either of these counties. Students must major in any of the following: accounting, biology, business administration, chemistry, computer science, economics, education, environmental analysis and planning, foreign languages, general science, geography, history, international studies, law and society (justice studies), mathematics, physics, political science or wildlife/fisheries.
Eligibility: Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application. Students must submit an application detailing their employment history, volunteer experience, extracurricular involvement, academic performance and financial information.

Eligibility: Applicants must be incoming freshmen enrolled full-time with a high school record of academic excellence, visionary leadership, and outstanding public service. Students must enroll in the fall semester in the program of applied languages and intercultural studies (ALIS), computational media (CM), economics (ECON), economics and international affairs (EIA), global economics and modern languages (GEML), history, technology and society (HTS), international affairs (INTA), international affairs and modern languages (IAML), literature, media and communication (LMC) or public policy (PUBP). Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Eligibility: Applicants must have at least a technician ham radio license, be undergraduate or graduate students in international studies at an accredited post-secondary institution and be members of ARRL.

Dr. William A. and Randi Buche Global Security Studies Scholarship Varies

Eligibility: Applicants must be graduate students pursuing a master of science degree in global security studies. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.4 or higher and preference will be given to a student not receiving the ASU distinguished scholarship.
Eligibility: Applicants must be currently enrolled or enrolling in a community college, undergraduate, graduate, business or law school in the U.S. and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students must write an essay pertaining to immigration conditions and reforms.

How to apply: To apply, register online, complete the online application and select the scholarships to which you wish to apply. In addition, mail the supporting materials: printed confirmation page from the online application, personal statement, copy of Student Aid Report (SAR) available at www.fafsa.ed.gov and official transcript.
Eligibility: Applicants must be majoring in communications, criminology, english, global affairs, history, integrative studies or women and gender studies with a GPA between 2.75 and 3.4. Students must demonstrate financial need and are interested in furthering social justice and equity.

Eligibility: Applicants must be degree-seeking students in the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Florida International University. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, be Miami-Dade County residents and be enrolled in international relations and political science degrees.
Eligibility: Applicants must be juniors and seniors in the following areas of study: education, health care/services, social work, social sciences, religious studies, and sacred music. Preference is given to racial ethnic students.

Eligibility: Applicants must submit an essay on a relevant international trade topic (see suggestions below) and can either be a bespoke essay submission or an appropriately formatted existing academic paper from current class works.
