    Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and have completed at least one semester or quarter of college work with a minimum 3.3 GPA. Applicants must plan to enter a career in science or engineering related to the technical activities of the AIAA. Applicants must be AIAA student members in good standing to apply. Selection is based on scholarship, career goals, recommendations and extracurricular activities.

  • ANS Graduate Scholarship
    $3,000-$5,000

    Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited graduate school in a program leading to an advanced degree in nuclear science, nuclear engineering or a nuclear-related field. There are also individual graduate scholarships. Applicants should submit applications, transcripts, recommendation letter and three reference forms.

    Eligibility: Applicants must be at least sophomores or students who have completed two or more years and will be entering as juniors or seniors in an accredited university and must be enrolled in a program leading to a degree in nuclear science, nuclear engineering or a nuclear-related field. Applicants should submit applications, transcripts, recommendation letter and three reference forms. There are individual undergraduate scholarships for students who have completed two or more years in a course of study leading to a degree in nuclear science, nuclear engineering or a nuclear-related field.

  • Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program
    Up to $7,500

    Sponsor: Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation

    Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time college sophomores or juniors, U.S. citizens or resident aliens, have a minimum "B" GPA and be in the upper fourth of their class. Award must be used during the junior or senior year of college. Selection is based on potential and intent to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences or engineering.

    How to apply: Institutions nominate college sophomores or juniors. Applicants may not apply directly to the foundation.

  • C. Bertrand and Marian Othmer Schultz Collegiate Scholarship

    Eligibility: Applicants must be sophomores or juniors who attend a four-year, accredited college or university in Nebraska and major in a natural science including chemistry, physics, biology or geology.
