Students must be graduating high school seniors or currently enrolled students at a two- or four-year college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA.   • Kentucky Veterans Tuition Waiver Program

    Eligibility: Applicants must be Kentucky residents and be children, stepchildren, adopted children, spouses or unremarried widows/widowers of Kentucky veterans and must be age 26 or younger. The veteran must have died in active duty or as a result of a service-connected disability, have a service-connected 100 percent disability, have served during wartime and be totally disabled or have died for any reason.

  • Ohio Safety Officers College Memorial Fund
    Up to full tuition

    Sponsor: Ohio Board of Regents

    Eligibility: Applicants must be spouses or children of peace officers, firefighters or certain other safety officers who died in the line of duty anywhere in the United States. Applicants who are children and spouses of a member of the armed services of the US, who was killed in the line of duty during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom or a combat zone designated by the President of the United States are also eligible for this this award. The applicant must be an Ohio resident and attend an Ohio college or university. The award covers full tuition and required fees at public institutions and a portion of tuition and fees at private institutions.

  • VA Essay Scholarship

    Sponsor: VA Mortgage Center

    Eligibility: Students must be a surviving spouse or child of a deceased veteran from the U.S. military, and be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a college or university by the spring semester of the following school year. Students must also be comfortable sharing personal stories and aspirations with the Veteran's United Foundation and willing and able to provide requested documentation in a timely manner.
