  • Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program

    Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in a California community college or university and be studying one of the following programs: medical imaging, occupational therapy, physical therapy, respiratory care, social work, pharmacy and diagnostic medical sonography, pharmacy technician, medical laboratory technologist, surgical technician or ultrasound technician. Those selected will complete a one-year service contract or work volunteer hours in a medically underserved area of California. Financial need, work experience, academic achievement and community involvement are considered. Preference is given to those who expect to graduate within two years of application.

  • Challenge Scholarship

    Eligibility: Applicants must be NSCA members for one year before applying and be pursuing careers in strength and conditioning.   • GNC Nutritional Research Grant

    Eligibility: Applicants must be graduate students and be NSCA members for one year before applying and pursuing careers in strength and conditioning. Students must also plan a research project that falls within the mission of the NSCA and submit a proposal describing the rationale, purpose and methods of the planned research.   • Health Careers Scholarship

    Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time students pursuing a career in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physical or occupational therapy or medical technologies. R.N. students and those pursuing an M.D. or D.D.S must have completed at least one year of schooling at an accredited institution. All others must be entering at least their third year of school. Pre-med students are not eligible. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens.

  • Janet L. Hoffman Loan Assistance Repayment Program
    Up to $10,000

    Sponsor: Maryland Higher Education Commission

    Eligibility: Applicants must live in Maryland, and they must be employed full-time by Maryland state or local government or nonprofit organizations that serve low income or underprivileged people. They must have a degree from a Maryland college or from any law school, or certification from the Maryland State Department of Education. Priority is given to individuals who have graduated in the past three years. Applicants must also have college loans on which they have not defaulted, and each person's annual gross salary must be under $60,000. Applicants must work in one of the following positions: lawyers, teachers, nurses, nurse faculty members, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, speech pathologists or physician assistants.
