    Eligibility: Applicants must have a doctoral degree in art history or archaeology and be in residence at the museum during the fellowship period. Fellowships are one year long and begin on September 1 of the year after application. All applicants must be Ph.D. candidates, postdoctoral researchers or senior scholars and must submit a specific research proposal that makes use of the museum’s collection. Fellowships are awarded based on funds and resource availability.

  • Elizabeth Carter Scholarship in Archaeology

    Eligibility: Applicants must be women enrolled at the advanced undergraduate (junior or senior) or postgraduate level in archaeology and have chosen archaeology as their profession. Students must be currently enrolled in school or admitted to a school in order to apply. Applicants who are completing their degree during their current term are not eligible to apply.

  • Explorers Club Greater Piedmont Chapter Scholarship

    Sponsor: Central Carolina Community Foundation

    Eligibility: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors, undergraduate or graduate students from Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina. Students must be enrolled on a full-time basis and must be pursuing a degree in anthropology, archeology, engineering, math, or traditional science (i.e. physical, life, or earth sciences). Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Preference will be given to dependents of current members or student members of the Explorers Club Greater Piedmont Chapter.

    Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. or Israeli citizens and enrolled in the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Students must be Ph.D. candidates writing their dissertations in archaeology or be recent Ph.D.s completing a project requiring a lengthy stay in Greece.
