Selection based on creativity, originality, detail, clear and articulate writing, and student's ability to formulate an opinion.
Eligibility: Applicants must be high school seniors or current college students attending full-time at a two- or four-year college, university, vocational or technical school in the United States. Students must have a passion for video games and the gaming industry. Applicants may apply once per calendar year. Students must submit a 500- to 1,000-word essay on the provided topic related to gaming.

Outstanding Undergraduate Researchers Award Program Up to $1,500

Eligibility: Applicants must be undergraduates at a North American college or university and must have conducted some type of computing research. Nominations from two faculty members and a recommendation from the chair of the applicant's home department are also required. Preference is given to undergraduate seniors. Selection is based on the quality of computing research, academic achievement and community involvement.
