AVAILABLE TO CURRENT + FUTURE EMPORIA STATE STUDENTS
Earning your degree from Emporia State University is one of the best investments you will ever make. ESU offers a variety of different scholarships to offset your cost of tuition and support your educational goals.
Important Dates
- FAFSA applications opened December 2023.
- Be admitted as an ESU student by the priority date of February 1 to be eligible for the most departmental scholarships.

Scholarships not located in library
- PRESIDENTIAL + GPA SCHOLARSHIPS
The renewable Presidential Scholarship is awarded based on ACT/SAT score and GPA. If you scored lower than a 21 on the ACT, or are unable to take the ACT/SAT, you may be eligible for the non-renewable GPA-Only scholarship based on GPA.
- TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS
Based on your transferring GPA, you may be eligible for the renewable Transfer Scholarship.
- ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Several scholarships are available to incoming athletes.
- MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarship opportunities for majors and non-majors participating in music ensembles are available! Audition may be required.
- HONORS SCHOLARSHIPS
Earn a renewable $1,000 scholarship with acceptance into the Honors College at Emporia State University.
- HOUSING SCHOLARSHIPS
Receive an automatic $1,000 for the first year living on campus, and $2,000 for every subsequent year in the ESU residence halls.
- GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
A number of graduate scholarships are available through the Graduate School to assist both online and face-to-face learning.
- NON-ESU SCHOLARSHIPS
