Scholarships
for Adults

Adult Scholarship

Qualifications for clock hours students: The program must be 400 clock hours or more in length and students must have completed 100 clock hours.

Qualifications for credit hour students: Programs must be 13 credit hours or more in length and students must have completed three credit hours.

All students must have at least an 80% completion rate. Applications are due the first Friday of each month.

Technical Education Scholarship

Deadline: August 31, 2024

Scholarship will pay for tuition and required textbooks for one high-demand program. Adult students enrolled in a high demand technical education program are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

To be eligible, adult students must be a Utah resident and enrolled in a designated high-demand technical education program. They must complete a FAFSA and be certificate seeking with the intent to complete the program. The award duration is until the program is completed, or the student is no longer enrolled at the college.

NA (Nursing Assistant) Scholarship

This scholarship is to assist students with $100 off tuition cost for the Nursing Assistant Program.

PN (Nursing) Scholarship

Students must have been selected for the program. See requirements on the application form.

For students who have been accepted to the Fall (August) Nursing Program, applications are typically available May through June.

For students who have been accepted to the Spring (March) Nursing Program, applications are typically available December through January.

Nail Technician Scholarship

This Scholarship is to assist students with $100 off tuition for the Nail Technician program.

GHF (Gene Haas Foundation) Machinist Tooling Scholarship

For certificate seeking adult or high school students enrolled in the Machinist program. Must complete at least 3 credit hours in the Machinist program during the current school year.

At the time of scholarship application evaluation, applicants must have at least 80% progress and 80% attendance rates of their schedule hours to qualify..

Aaron Griffin Memorial Scholarship for YouthBuild Graduates

For certificate seeking adult students who have completed the OTECH YouthBuild program and meet the adult scholarship criteria listed above.

To apply, complete the Adult Scholarship Application and include YouthBuild in the section about educational achievements or specialized training.

This scholarship is to assist students with $100 off tuition of the CNC Machinist Technician program.

Manufacturing Technician Scholarship Application

The Manufacturing Technician Scholarship was created to assist students seeking a certificate. This scholarship covers tuition while students maintain satisfactory progress.

After completing the application, the Financial Aid office will email the award letter stating the amount student has been awarded.

Scholarships for
High School Seniors

Technical Education Scholarship

Deadline: August 31, 2024

Scholarship will pay for tuition and required textbooks for one high-demand technical education program. High school seniors who will be graduating are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

To be eligible, students must be recent high school graduates who are enrolled in a designated high-demand technical education program and who have completed a FAFSA. They must be certificate seeking with the intention of completing the program. The award duration is until program completion or when the student is no longer enrolled at the college.

Summer Bridge Scholarship

Activate your scholarship by April 30, 2024!

All graduating high school seniors eligible. Covers tuition and fees for any classes starting in June, July and August 2024.

Young Parent Scholarship

High school students or graduates who are within the calendar year of their graduation date and who are involved with the Young Parent Program are eligible for this dedicated scholarship, which offers tuition assistance for the duration of a program for adult students or assistance with books and supplies for high school students.

Military or Religious Service

The tech college has a practice of re-awarding scholarships, when possible, to students who leave for religious or military service. Please see a scholarship advisor for assistance.

The Richard Rawle Memorial Scholarship

Award Amount: $2000

To be eligible for the Richard Rawle Memorial Scholarship, applicants must meet the following basic requirements:

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college in the United States
  • Be enrolled full-time
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Submit at least 1 reference letter
  • Submit a scholarship essay
  • The scholarship essay should be at least 500 words
  • The scholarship essay should answer the prompt

Metal Supermarkets Trade School Scholarship

Metal Supermarkets is proud to support the skilled trades, and we want to make it easier for students to pursue one of these viable, stable and well-paying careers.

Eligibility:

  • Students accepted to and attending a post-secondary trade school program with a semester beginning in 2024.

Avalaunch Media Scholarship

At Avalaunch Media, we are committed to supporting Utah students in their educational pursuits and helping to develop the next generation of leaders and believers here in the Beehive State.

How to apply:
