Scholarships

Improving our community’s level of education is the best way we know to decrease unemployment, improve personal health, and strengthen our families. A large number of post-secondary scholarship programs are available to residents of our community each year for all types of programs, from short-term certificates to bachelors’ degrees.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship application open annually

August 1 – September 15    CLOSED

In Benton County, students applying for the Lilly Endowment must have a 4.0 GPA, school and community involvement, volunteer or work experience, and plans to further their education after high school at an accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana. Learn more about the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Benton Community Foundation High School Common Application is open annually from December 15 – January 31.

The Foundation currently provides over 45 scholarship opportunities within our online common application.  Many of the scholarships are managed and housed at the Foundation while others are sponsored by organizations in Benton County. Student applying must:

-Attend Benton Central High School and/or live in Benton County

-Graduate high school by June 2024

Adult Scholarship Application is now CLOSED:  Feb 1 – April 14, 2024

Would you like to improve your skills or get a degree?  Benton Community Foundation offers scholarship opportunities for those adults who would like to gain new skills or get a degree to improve their job qualifications. This funding does not support graduate studies. Preference will be given to students who:

-Have not yet completed a post-secondary program;

-Have not been awarded previous scholarships through the Foundation;

-Non-traditional Student
