The staff and attorneys at Andersen, Tate & Carr law firm are devoted to helping those who have been affected by cancer, particularly during childhood. In addition to giving back through our partnerships with organizations such as the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, we are supporting students who have dedicated their studies to helping cancer patients and their families.

 

To do this, we’re proud to offer the Andersen, Tate & Carr Cure Childhood Cancer Scholarship of $1,000 to a college student who has demonstrated an interest in helping cancer patients and their loved ones through volunteering, professional work, and/or academic research. Additionally, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in or accepted into an accredited undergraduate program
  • Has a minimum GPA of 2.8
  • Able to submit an unofficial academic transcript

Scholarship Deadlines

Please submit your application, essay, and transcript by July 31st, 2020. The winner of the scholarship will be announced in August 2020.

Essay Topics

  1. How do you plan to help cancer patients through your academic and professional career?
  2. Why are you pursuing a career in oncology or other fields that support cancer patients?
  3. Describe volunteer work you’ve done and the effects it has had on cancer patients

Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Scholarship open to all students attending an accredited college in the United States or who have been accepted to attend an accredited college within 6 months of application. All funds will be dispersed to scholarship recipient’s school by the end of [MONTH] for the [Fall/Spring] Semester. Scholarship winner is determined solely by our selection committee. All decisions of the selection committee are final.

 

PRIVACY STATEMENT: We will not sell the information you submit with your scholarship application to any third parties. The information you submit will be used only for determining the scholarship recipient and deleted after the selection period. Scholarship award recipient information may be used for public relations purposes; only with direct written consent by the recipient.

 

NON-DISCRIMINATION STATEMENT: The winner of the Andersen, Tate & Carr Cure Childhood Cancer Scholarship will be determined by a selection committee set up by Andersen, Tate & Carr, P.C.
