Scholarships & Funding

There are two ways for athletes to receive funding. The U.S. Figure Skating Athlete Support Fund, which financially supports athletes based on their qualifications, and, aside from high performance funding, U.S. Figure Skating will distribute more than $750,000 in the upcoming year to qualified athletes by way of scholarships, awards and grants.

U.S. Figure Skating will distribute more than $750,000 in the upcoming year to qualified athletes. Different funding opportunities are available at different times throughout the year, and applicants must meet certain requirements in order to apply.

Team USA Funding

The U.S. Figure Skating Athlete Support (ASUPP) Fund financially supports the Team USA athletes in the A, B, and C envelopes by assisting them with their skating expenses. In order to be assigned to a team envelope, athletes must meet certain criteria which are outlined in the published team envelope criteria.
