Dream Deferred Essay Contest on Civil Rights in the Mideast

Purpose:

 

To award American and Middle Eastern youth who have written outstanding essays on civil rights in the Middle East.

Eligibility:

 

Entrants must be age 25 or younger at the time of the entry deadline. They must be living in an Arab League nation, the U.S., Afghanistan or Iran. They must write an essay of 600 to 1,500 words responding to one of the civil rights topics presented in the official entry rules. Selection is based on the strength and relevance of the essay response.
