Nevada Women’s Fund is dedicated to Empowering Women to Achievement through education and career advancement opportunities, uplifting their families, and ultimately strengthening the very fabric of our community.

We believe that education is the cornerstone of empowerment. With the support of corporate and community donors, NWF provides scholarships to deserving women, unlocking their potential and offering them the opportunity to complete their education.

Nevada Women’s Fund was established by a dedicated group of individuals committed to empowering women and families in northern Nevada. Recognizing the disparity in financial assistance for women, with less than 6% of grants and aid directed towards them nationally, NWF was founded to address this imbalance. At the core of our mission is the belief that through education, women can enhance not only their own lives but also strengthen their communities. Over the years, NWF has raised and distributed over $9.9 million in scholarships and grants to support women in pursuing their educational and professional goals, with all funding sourced from generous local donors who share our vision.

What began as a modest initiative in 1983 has evolved into a significant force for change. In 2024, we dedicated $500,000 to advancing women’s education. Our scholarships are provided directly to recipients, allowing them the flexibility to utilize the funds to meet their specific needs, whether it’s tuition fees, living expenses, or childcare costs. This personalized approach maximizes the impact of even our smallest scholarships, fostering tangible improvements in the lives of women in our community.
